My cheap brushes and my super duper cheap brushes.

Most of the good brushes in the high end industry are mostly cost more than 50$. Though, the quality is high, I think there are some alternative out there that have really good quality with a much more reasonable price, for example korean makeup brushes or even some good quality brushes from china. Being in Asian, the high end brushes like sigma brushes is not just expensive but also hard to get.  So I find a good alternative, Korean brushes. After that, I found other option that is makeup brushes on Aliexpress. Both options need some times to experiment to get the good result. I tried a few Korean brand and a few shop on aliexpress. And I can say that I have found some favorite makeup brushes that I would recommend to others.

My most favorite makeup brush is from Missha. It’s a powder brush(link here). The hair is so soft and thred a bit when I first washed it, but that’s all. After that I bought a foundation brush(link here), it is very soft, very to blend everything. The price is very reasonable. All the makeup brushes are below 20$ (yes include shipping). Moreover, I love the packaging, it has golden handle which I adore so much. I have also bought a flat brush for mask application from missha as well but i can't find the link to that.

Other than Missha, I’ve also tried Nature republic and skin food brushes, it was the very first korean brush I've ever used. I honestly don’t like them as much. I bought a powder brush from Nature republic store in Phonm penh. Nature republic package is ok, very simple white handle and the hair is quite dense but doesn't thred much.

The second korean brush that I bought is Skin food blush brush (link here). Skin food package is such a turn off, it has wooden handle. The hair is even denser than Nature republic brush and it thred a lot in every wash.

But if you want to try out some Korean brushes, you can also try VDL, IOPE, these brands are in the high end side of cosmetic so the price is a bit higher than Missha, but the price is still cheaper than western makeup brushes.

For even cheaper brushes, you can also try brushes from china. I mainly use them for contouring or eye makeup. I find the big brushes hair is denser than the smaller brushes. You can save some money by buying cheaper eye makeup brushes and some Korean face brushes. One makeup brush costs about 1$, if you buy a set, it will cost even less. I bought a set of 20 eyeshadow brushes for about 4$ after shipping (link here). And 20$ for a set of 32 brushes (consist of face brushes and eye brushes, though I never use the face brushes). These brushes last me about 3 years now, and I find them a bit torn and old that’s why I bought a new set. One thing to keep in mind when buying from aliexpress is that it will take forever to deliver but if you’re lucky enough, it will arrive in about 3 weeks.
a set of 20 brushes for about 4$

I also like to buy individual brushes like contour or blush brushes as well.

foundation brush ( about 1$)
contour brush (1.34$ link here)
blush brush (2.99$ link here)
blending brush (0.89$ link here)

powder brush (2.99$ link here)
All in all, I think having high end expensive brushes is great but it’s not the necessary. As long as the quality of the brushes is nice, whether or not it is expensive doesn’t matter. But one important thing to bear in mind is that there are some heavenly made brushes that surely deserve such price like Fluenta Oval 8.

The almighty PERIPERA WHOLLY DEEP BROW INK review (ready to be hyped)

Hey guy, as the last post stated, I will do a review of Peripera Wholly Deep Ink Brow. Let’s talk about why I am so hyped. At first, I wanted to try Etude House tint my brow gel, but I find it too pricey for that much of product (you need quite lot of product for each application). And this product is actually in the line with my favorite Peripera lip tint. That lip tint is so pigmented and long lasting that’s why I expected so highly of this brow tint. And let me tell you I am not disappointed at all.
This product promises that:
-  stain like a tattoo.
- Ink lasting with strong color like eyebrow tint.
- Shaping(pencil) + fitting(powder) + coloring(browcara) of 3 in 1 inkbrow
- Ling lasting polymer at water, sweat, sebum keeps makeup stable even at water park
- Black complex keeps eyebrow healthier.
- Natural shape special cutting brush expresses from fine eyebrow to slim eye line.

PERIPERA WHOLLY DEEP BROW INK
PERIPERA WHOLLY DEEP BROW INK in deep brown

You’re supposed to use the brush to apply ink directly to eyebrow. But I find that brush is too big and it soaks up the product so much. I use my own angled brush to apply this. I find it is a lot easier to control while using smaller brush.

The PERIPERA WHOLLY DEEP BROW INK brush is round and big almost like smudging brush.

This tint is very watery like a water based tint, so it quite hard to control the product with the brush that comes with tube. I honestly find it too brown or too light for my hair color (natural black hair). But I think it’d be perfect if you’re a brunette or dark blonde. I usually use black eyeshadow to darken the end of my brow after I use the ink or mix the black shadow with the ink and apply it without adding anything else.

Let’s talk about the best part of this ink, its longevity. This ink lasts all day long even in the hot humid day. I actually wore this on my trip on SongKran day at Siemreap. It stays on all day, not even a sign of smudging. Even, at night at the Pub street, there was water guns and powder everywhere. I washed my face 3 times with water because my face got lot of baby powder and water on. Let me tell ya, after dancing and drinking all night, the brow still look exactly the same as in the morning.
This is how I look with PERIPERA WHOLLY DEEP BROW INK when I got out of the hotel.

On my way back from Pub street to hotel.

Conclusion:

- This PERIPERA WHOLLY DEEP BROW INK is simply amazing.
- Very long lasting and water resistant. Great for going to the beach or water park.
- Affordable and can be easily found at koreadepart.com or testerkorea.com any korean online shop. and these shops all provide worldwide shipping.
- But the only down side is that it has only 2 colors option, they really need to add more color.

NOTE: I am not sponsored, all of these are bought by my own money.

MCQUEEN, New York, MINERAL CC CUSHION COVER REVIEW, does it worth the try???

Hey guys, another review is here, it is the Mcqueen cushion. I’ve never been a fan of cushion foundation. I tried the Etude House summer cushion once; it was definitely the reason why I am kind of turned off with cushion foundation. But since this cushion was on sale, the price comes with a refill as well. So I want to give cushion foundation another try. It was on sale on Koreadepart.com and it has pretty good review as well.  This cushion has colors: 21 and 23 (just like most of Korean foundation, nth fancy here).

This cushion claims to:
Express smooth and elastic skin texture as it offers brightening, moisturizing, and clearness effect deep into the skin.
★Keep the skin tone bright without darkening by it's high sun block properties while preventing it from other sun ray damages.
★Offer cooling effect due to it's bamboo sap content while the green tea and chamomile soothes the skin.
★CC Color Control System : create natural skin tone depending on the temperature of the skin.
★Strong coverage with high adhesive power  while controlling blemishes.

The main ingredient of this cushion are Mineral Water; Plant Extracts (Bamboo Sap, Centella Asiatica, Chamomile Flower, Licorice, Green Tea, Rosemary Leaf, and Aloe Vera Leaf)

My first impression of this cushion is its sleek package design, it is very simple yet sophisticated. It comes with a refill and a sponge, all in the same pink box. The box itself is bright pink; the design is very catchy with the brand name engraved in silver. The case is white with silver design. The sponge is quite thick compare to Etude House Cushion sponge; it seems to me more like a powder sponge. I don’t really the sponge so I use the etude house sponge in stead.

Honestly the application is hard for me with dry skin and large pore. Though it has very high coverage, it does accentuate my flaky spot. I guess if you use a good primer, it might help. But I don’t have one. I normally use only the moisturizing base, it didn’t really help much. Because of its high coverage, I don't need to use concealer at all I usually apply it all over my face and my neck and set it with Innisfree mineral powder or Skin Food translucent powder. It lasts half a day (about 5 h in humid weather) and I have to retouch my face with face mist and some setting powder. At the end of the day, my face does get cakey a little bit and my pores are very visible. The flaky spots don’t really matter anymore since my face was soaked in oil (in the afternoon my face tends to get oily super fast).

This is my bare face. I have dark circle, large pores,
mild acne and some acne scare. It doesn't really show in the picture but irl, eww.
I applied cushion on left side of my face.
as you can see the left side of my face is brighter, this cushion did a good job on cover up my redness and acne scare.

My full makeup. as you can see that it doesn't cover large pore like very well, it definitely suits people with smaller pore better.

full makeup under the rain light.

I now have finished the first cushion and I am on the refill. Hopefully, I will finish it faster. I don’t like using it but I don’t want to just throw stuffs away either. I will try my best to finish it.

Conclusion:

-          Do I recommend it? Well, yes, if you don't have large pore and dry skin. And no for those who has large pore (i mean super large pore) but if you want to give it a try, okay, since it is pretty cheap.
-          Will I repurchase it? No, just no for cushion foundation.
k    Here's some final thought, I honestly don't think cushion is suitable for acne prone skin since we keep on pressing the product from the sponge direct, that way the bacteria on our face will transfer to the cushion and we will keep reapply to our face again and again which is a really bad idea for acne.
-          How many stars do I give? 3 stars or maybe 4 stars if I had a good primer.

I got scummed by usa2me forwarding service from usa

Earlier last month in March, I wanted to try buying things from USA by myself. So I did some research on the internet to find the lowest price. And I came across ton of company that provide the service, among those is the usa2me.com. For that particular website, you need to pay 23$ to register a basic membership, and 15$ for the paid membership. I paid a premium member ship which is 35$ for the membership and 15$ for register, totally 50$. The reason why I paid this 50$ because of their price in their calculator is super cheap for premium membership, and I plan on shipping again in the same month as well. But I failed to realize that for the premium package, I have a 30$ off on my first shipping of the month. And that is exactly why their shipping rate that shows in the calculator is incredibly cheap. They minus that 30$ off the shipping fee. They don’t show the regular shipping fee but they show the one that was minus 30$ (remember you got 30$ off for the first shipping that you made each month only). After that you will have to pay the same price as the standard member which is entirely bullshit. Why do I have to pay the membership when I got treated the same as those who don’t buy it? Which in this case I spend 20$ for nth (50$-30$). Well, it’s still better than those people who paid 23$, don’t you think so? But no. the cancelation of the membership costs as much as one month of whatever membership you paid for. Which is another bullshit. Then, I have paid 55$ to be scummed.

this is their membership plans,
notice the free shipping up to 30$ and 60$?

Rather than these fucked up scum, they have one of the most expensive shipping fee ever. Here the comparison of a package of 0.35 pound which is what I used their service to send to me. They charge twice of what other site would do.

US2ME shipping fee for 0.35lbs
As you can see in the premium and the ultimate column, all the fee are the basic member fee – 30$ and -60$. Basically we got nth, no discount but bullshit by buying their membership or using their service.

MYUS shipping fee for 0.35 lbs.

USGOBUY shipping fee for 0.35lbs

Well, if you think it cannot get any worse, sorry to disappoint you. The bullshit is the repackaging service. My package is originally 0.7 lbs with 5lbs in dimensional weight. I ask them to repackage it but they still charge me 5lbs which 72.8$. when I got the package was repackage and it is only 0.35lbs and 1.35 lbs in dimension weight which cost only 49.25$ for fedex economy. They stole my money, they are just fucking fraud.

this is what my package look like when it first sent to their warehouse.

my conclusion on this fucking case: usa2me = fraud. a complete fraud. there're so many other great options out there like usgobuy or myus.

My package from Koreadepart.com (special sneak peek of Peripera WHOLLY DEEP INK BROW)

Hey guy, today I just want to show you what I just bought off Koreadepart.com. I got Skinfood Miracle Fit Essence Concealer, Milky Dress Snail Gold Cream and the star of the next blog “Peripera WHOLLY DEEP INK BROW”. I got skin food concealer just because I need a liquid concealer to brighten up my undereye, and it was so cheap, I thought I wouldn’t hurt to give it a try. The Milky Dress cream was on sale for 10$ and my mum night cream just ran out so I thought I want to give this one a try as well. Lastly, the Peripera WHOLLY DEEP INK BROW, it is a new released product. I purchased it because I want to find a really long lasting brow product that can withstand sweat and oil on my face. I have a bunch of brow products from gel to pen, pencil or powder, basically almost everything. Another reason is because of my love for Peripera lip ink, it was so promising, long lasting and very vibrate color. Though the price of this brow ink is 8.14$ and now it is on sale for only 6.11$. I bought in color deep brown. I actually order these with my friends as well to spend less on shipping though the shipping is super cheap (only 5$ for everything). I will post the picture of each product in the review of each one.
